I spent Friday meeting new vendors at the Architectural Digest Home Show 2013 in NYC (Pier 92) and seeing new product lines and artist's works. I experienced a bit of serendipity when I sat down for lunch in the very busy cafe. Due to the limited seating, I ended up sharing a table with Molly McCall, a wonderful artist/photographer from Monterey, CA. Molly was a sweetheart and her artwork has an ethereal quality, creating botanical imagery using a variety of sophisticated photographic and artistic techniques.
Please let me know what you think of these beautiful pieces and contact me if you have any questions!
Next, I spent some time with an exhibitor that I met with at Maison & Objet in September 2012, Koket, Boca do Lobo, and Delightfull Lighting. I enjoyed speaking with Janet and hearing about the three entities. Diogo Carvalho, the designer for the Delightfull Lighting line was informative and he was excited to hear the positive feedback from the US customer base. All three of these entities provide rich design - some quirky, some elegant - all unique. And after all, unique is what you want in design, yes?
