I stumbled upon this amazing Tuscan castle on the INSPIR3D websitesite. The main building of Castello di Sammezzano (20 minutes south east of Florence), was built  in the Hispano-Moresque style in 1605 with major renovations/additions occurring in the mid-late 1800's. It was later turned into a luxury hotel but fell into a state of disrepair and has been abandoned since 1999.

The Peacock Room is impressive in its Moorish architecture (domes formed by entwined arches), patterns and the vibrant colors of its mosaic tiles domes.

The castle sits on 450 acres and is rumored to be reincarnated into a luxurious sporting resort per the Vikare Tuscan Property Fund website, incorporating the grand buildings, together as hotel, apartments health spa, pool and country club with golf, tennis, etc.

What do you think about this castle? If it truly becomes a resort, would you want to vacation there?
